A home search led to an arrest of a Paragould, Arkansas suspect after what police reportedly found under his mattress.
Authorities conducted a raid on the residence of 38-year-old Brent West in Paragould, Arkansas. Police officers busted West with illegal items under his mattress. He was also charged with assault violations related to his probation.
Paragould Arkansas Home Raid Leads To Arrest
Brent West, a 38-year-old resident of Paragould, was taken into custody on September 12 following a home visit by authorities. He faces charges including possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
The arrest stemmed from a routine check by Arkansas Community Corrections, where agents discovered .4 grams of methamphetamine hidden under West’s mattress. This violation was part of a broader investigation due to West’s active probation status.
In addition to drug offenses, West is also charged with second-degree assault, third-degree domestic battery, and violations related to his probation. He remains in custody at the Greene County jail with a $10,000 bond set.
