The report, called “Warehouses of Neglect: How Taxpayers Are Funding Systemic Abuse in Youth Residential Treatment Facilities,” was released on Wednesday. It says that many companies running these facilities are giving poor care and mistreating the kids.
The investigation calls for major changes to fix these problems and improve the care provided in these facilities.
Disability Rights Arkansas managing attorney Reagan Stanford was even called to D.C. to give key testimony involving the disturbing instances of child abuse they’ve found.
