The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville has exceeded enrollment goals for Fall 2025, signing up 1,239 students. But more importantly, the college remains number one in Arkansas for both graduation and retention rates.
Provost Dr. Zach Perrine says enrollment has steadily grown since the pandemic, and flexible options like EveningU classes are helping non-traditional students succeed. Those evening courses include general education, office management, education, welding, HVAC, EMS, and CDL training.
UACCB’s graduation rate is 65.9%—nine points higher than the next Arkansas institution and more than double the national average. Retention also beat the national rate, 69.3% compared to 63%.
Chancellor Dr. Brian Shonk says the results show UACCB’s commitment to quality learning, affordable degrees, and strong pathways to both employment and university transfer.
