A house fire in Arkansas left at least one person injured.

A house fire at 61 Shannon Road in the Overcup Community injured one person on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Conway County Chief Deputy Sheriff Jeremy Kissire reported the individual was treated and released for minor injuries at CHI St. Vincent Morrilton Hospital.

Details Released After House Engulfed In Flames In Arkansas

Deputies responded to a disturbance call at 12:30 p.m., arriving to find the residence engulfed in flames. Officers Anthony Lankford, Jonathan Eoff, and Timothy Spohn helped evacuate two occupants, including a disabled resident, from the smoke-filled house.

The Conway County Fire Department, along with fire departments from Oppelo, Overcup, Birdtown, Center Ridge, St. Vincent, Task Force, and Med Tech Ambulance, responded to the scene. Investigators determined the fire originated in a rear bedroom, but the cause remains under investigation.

No names of the occupants have been released by authorities. The Jerusalem Fire Department shared the update, highlighting the coordinated response to the incident.

The community is reeling from the event, with officials urging caution with home safety. An ongoing investigation aims to uncover the fire’s cause and prevent future incidents.
