Firefighters Arrived In Hazmat Suits
After controlling the blaze, crews noticed embers still falling from the vehicle. They deployed a second hose line with firefighting foam to fully extinguish it.
A nearby storm drain prompted swift action. The team used hazmat booms and sheets to trap hazardous runoff.
To tackle the trunk and engine, firefighters wielded a rotary saw. The fire’s stubborn reach required precise cuts.
Tragically, the flames spread to another car. Both vehicles suffered significant damage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Battalion 1, Engine 2, Ladder 3, and Engine 9-B Shift handled the call. Their teamwork contained the chaotic scene.
