Arkansas hosted its first-ever Natural State Day at the State Capitol in Little Rock. The event featured exhibits, demonstrations of Arkansas-made gear, and showcased the state’s outdoor recreation.
A Special “Open Mic” Interview
ArkansasRadio.com‘s owner, Bob Connell, interviewed Director of Office of Outdoor Recreation Katherine Andrews and Secretary of The Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism Shea Lewis.
Katherine Andrews eloquently described the purpose of the Capitol event as follows:
“Natural State Day at the capitol is a celebration of the outdoor industry and all of its supporting partners.”
Shea Lewis highlighted the importance of tourism and how it’s helping create jobs:
“People come from around the world to experience that in Arkansas… The tourism industry brought in over 70,000 jobs in 2023.”
