A devastating incident. A man has reportedly died after an evening accident involving a wire fence.

On January 22, 2025, at approximately 7:33pm, a fatal accident occurred on Highway 43 in Maysville, Benton County. Details were provided by Arkansas State Police.

Arkansas Man Dies In Jeep Accident Involving Wire Fence

David Charles Evert, an 82-year-old man from Winslow, was driving a 1996 Jeep Cherokee southbound when the vehicle left the roadway.

According to Arkansas State Police, Evert’s vehicle entered a ditch, causing it to roll and crash through a wire fence.

The weather was clear with dry road conditions at the time of the incident.

Evert, who was the driver, was pronounced dead at the scene; his next of kin have been notified.
