A female minor has reportedly died after a tragic car crash involving a car with another minor riding as a passenger.
Arkansas State Police released details after a car crash that happened outside city limits in Drew County, Arkansas. The crash happened at 10:47am on December 15th.
One Minor Driver Dead, 2 Others Injured
A fatal accident occurred today involving a 2000 Honda CRV and a 2002 Chevy Tahoe at the intersection of Midway Route and US Highway 278 Bypass. One female minor passenger in the Honda CRV was killed.
Amanda Meier, 35, from Monticello, was driving the Honda CRV when the accident occurred. Another minor female passenger in the same vehicle was also injured.
The Honda CRV was traveling north when it failed to yield to the Chevy Tahoe moving west. The collision happened when the Chevy struck the passenger side of the Honda.
The Honda CRV, a 2000 model, and the Chevy Tahoe, from 2002, were the two vehicles directly involved in the incident. No additional vehicles were reported at the scene.
Police are investigating the crash, with a focus on the failure to yield as the primary cause. Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
