Chavez-Rangel faces charges including Interference with Emergency Communications 1st Degree, Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member, and Domestic Battery 3rd.
For context, “Emergency Communications 1st Degree” is a crime where someone intentionally stops another from making an emergency call by damaging or disabling their communication device, considered a serious misdemeanor.
