They’re making changes to the speed limit.
The local Prairie Grove Police Department issued a warning about the change in speed limit. They said the Arkansas State Highway Department was responsible and not the city of Prairie Grove, saying: “This is completely controlled by the State and not by the City of Prairie Grove.”
Speed Limit Change Coming Near Prairie Grove, Arkansas
The Arkansas State Highway Department has decided to alter the speed limit on a section of Hwy 62 in Prairie Grove.
Only the stretch from Butler Rd. to the Illinois River Bridge will see changes.
The speed limit here will now be reduced to 45 mph, effective immediately.
The rest of Hwy 62 in Prairie Grove will retain its 55 mph speed limit.
This decision was made by the state, not the local city authorities.
