According to THV11, a 56-year-old Searcy man has just confessed to knowingly human trafficking a minor. He now faces 10 years to life in prison.
He Knew What He Was Doing
On Wednesday, 56-year-old Searcy resident Muhammad Arif admitted to knowingly trafficking a 15-year-old in May 2019. He has been convicted and found guilty.
Arif now faces 10 years to life in prison after his confession.
Details of the crime are as follows. Arif was the boss of the 15-year-old victim’s father. Arif had someone take the victim’s father to another job out of town before leaving him and the victim alone.
Arif then proceeded to entice the child with money, before Arif “volunteered to drive her from SEarcy to Judsonia in his private vehicle.”
