DESCRIPTION:October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month\, and White River Health is inviting the community to a special evening of breast health education\, personal stories of courage and survival\, and a complimentary dinner in Batesville. \nThe FREE Breast Health Talk and Dinner will take place Tuesday\, October 27\, 2026\, at 6 PM at the White River Medical Center Conference Center. \nThe evening will feature medical professionals discussing breast health and genetic counseling\, along with personal experiences shared by breast cancer survivors. \nDinner will be provided by Myriad Genetics. Health Surgery Clinic\, will lead an interactive presentation focused on breast health. \nThe presentation will give attendees an opportunity to learn more about breast health and participate in a discussion led by a medical professional. \nBreast health education is an important part of understanding changes in the breast\, recognizing possible warning signs\, and learning about screening and preventive care. \nWomen and families attending the event will have an opportunity to hear information intended to encourage breast health awareness and informed conversations with healthcare providers. \nBreast Cancer Survivors to Share Personal Stories\nA special part of the October 27 event will feature personal stories about breast cancer and survivorship. \n3 healthcare professionals families understand personal and family medical histories\, discuss the possible benefits and limitations of genetic testing\, and interpret results when testing is appropriate. \nThe presentation will introduce attendees to genetic counseling as another resource in understanding breast health and cancer risk. \nFree Dinner Provided by Myriad Genetics\nIn addition to the educational presentations\, guests will enjoy a complimentary dinner provided by Myriad Genetics. \nThere is no admission charge\, and advance registration is not required. \nWhite River Health encourages professionals while connecting with others in the community. \nOctober Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month\nBreast Cancer Awareness Month is observed every October to encourage education\, awareness\, and conversations about breast health. \nBreast cancer is among the most commonly diagnosed cancers in women in the United States. \nHealth professionals emphasize the importance of understanding
