DESCRIPTION:The Searcy Arkansas College Rodeo is set to bring high-energy action to the White County Fairgrounds this week\, running Thursday through Saturday with nightly performances beginning at 7:30 PM. Gates open at 6:00 PM each evening. \n \nEvent organizers say more than 500 contestants representing 15 colleges from across the Ozark region will compete\, with athletes traveling from states including South Carolina\, Georgia\, Tennessee\, Mississippi\, Missouri\, and beyond. Some competitors have already advanced to national finals and professional rodeo circuits. \nFans can expect a full lineup of rodeo events including bull riding\, bronc riding\, calf roping\, and more. Special entertainment will include PRCA announcer Tony Lance of Cabot Arkansas and rodeo entertainer Coy Thomas. \nOrganizers say the rodeo continues to grow each year\, drawing national attention and showcasing elite college athletes working toward championship titles. \nAdmission is family-friendly\, with children 5 and under admitted free\, ages 6 to 12 for $5\, and ages 13 and up for $10. \nOfficials say this year’s event promises one of the biggest shows yet at the White County Fairgrounds in Searcy Arkansas.

The event is free and open to the public. \n \nUnder the direction of Barretta Robinson\, the concert will feature an evening of praise and inspiration\, blending both traditional and contemporary gospel music performed by talented student and community vocalists. \nThe program will open with a prayer and welcome\, followed by a powerful selection of songs including “Jesus Promised” by the Chicago Mass Choir\, “My Life is in Your Hands” by Kirk Franklin and God’s Property\, “Faithful Is Our God” by Hezekiah Walker\, and “How Much We Can Bear” by The Choir Room. \nA special motivational segment will highlight uplifting performances such as “Grateful” by Hezekiah Walker\, “Joy” by The Choir Room\, “Goodness of God” by CeCe Winans\, and “The Blood Still Works” by Malcolm Williams and Great Faith. \n“This concert is a celebration of faith and community\,” Robinson said. “Our choir members have dedicated themselves throughout the semester\, and this program reflects their talent and shared spirit of encouragement.” \nThe Lyon College Gospel Choir is accompanied by pianists Hunter Hall and Jaalyn Steen and features a diverse group of vocalists from across the campus and community. \nLyon College\, founded in 1872\, is the oldest college in Arkansas operating under its original charter and continues to provide a strong liberal arts education to students from across the country and around the world. \nCommunity members throughout Batesville Arkansas and North Central Arkansas are encouraged to attend this uplifting and inspiring event.
