DESCRIPTION:Lyon College will celebrate its history during the annual Founders’ Day Convocation on Friday\, Oct. 18\, at 11 a.m. in Sloan Auditorium\, Batesville campus. The event will feature alumna and trustee Enid Olvey\, CFRE\, senior vice president of philanthropy at Arkansas Children’s Hospital\, who has raised over $665 million for healthcare initiatives. Dr. Melissa Taverner\, president of Lyon College\, emphasized Olvey’s commitment to service as a reflection of the college’s values. The program will include performances by the Lyon College Pipe Band and the announcement of this year’s Mr. and Ms. Lyon College. The public is invited to attend.
