DESCRIPTION:Crafters\, gardeners\, homesteaders\, and herbal enthusiasts are invited to learn hands-on skills rooted in Ozark traditions during Spring Ozark Folk School this March at Ozark Folk Center State Park. \n \nThe seasonal program features immersive\, instructor-led classes designed to blend historic Ozark practices with practical skills for modern living. Classes range from single-day workshops to multi-day intensives and cover topics including pruning\, soil health\, Mediterranean herbs\, container gardening\, backyard foraging\, annual herbs\, and region-specific instruction through Gardening in the Ozarks. Personalized sessions such as Garden Assessment—Planting\, Pruning & Weeding are also available. \nHerbal and natural wellness offerings include The Magic of Fermentation\, Herbal First Aid Kit\, Travel Essentials & Most-Used Remedies\, Using Essential Oils Safely & Effectively\, Build Your Herbal Apothecary\, and Growing & Using the Grey & Green Mediterranean Herbs. \nTraditional and contemporary crafts remain central to the Folk School experience. March classes include Broom Making 101\, Beginning Blacksmithing\, Intro to Bladesmithing\, Basic Tinsmithing\, Letterpress Then & Now\, Crochet a Round Rag Rug\, and Handcraft Your Own Native Wood Walking Stick with Leather Grip. SUMMARY:Small Business Appreciation Weekend Set for Pangburn Arkansas March 27-29
DESCRIPTION:Knapping Dragon Photography and Knapp’s Critter Removal are hosting a free Small Business Appreciation Weekend March 27 through March 29\, 2026\, at Pangburn Park. \n \nThe event begins Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.\, continues Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.\, and wraps up Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. \nOrganizers say local businesses\, crafters\, artists\, and vendors are invited to set up and promote their work while networking with the community. \nFriday activities include karaoke\, open mic\, games\, a young authors writing contest sign-up\, and free light art portraits after dark. \nSaturday will feature free photos with the Easter Bunny from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.\, along with food\, games\, and an Easter egg hunt. \nOn Sunday\, families can enjoy more karaoke\, free Easter Bunny photos\, and a showing of VeggieTales “An Easter Carol” at noon. \nLocal author David Knapp will also host a reading of children’s books during the weekend. \nOrganizers say all activities are free\, with the goal of supporting small businesses\, encouraging networking\, and bringing the Pangburn community together for family-friendly fun.
