DESCRIPTION:John 3:16 Ministries in Charlotte is inviting the community to its popular Winter Blast Fundraiser on Saturday\, February 7\, offering an evening of food\, fellowship\, and live entertainment. \n \nThe intimate fundraising event gives guests an opportunity to connect with camp leadership while enjoying a night of laughs featuring live skits inspired by favorite television shows and movies such as Friends\, The Golden Girls\, Home Improvement\, and Star Wars. \nGuests will enjoy a hearty dinner featuring catfish\, chicken\, and all the trimmings. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.\, dinner will be served at 5 p.m.\, followed by a live auction at 6 p.m. before the entertainment begins. \nOrganizers say the event helps support the ministry’s ongoing programs and outreach efforts while providing a fun\, family-friendly atmosphere for supporters and sponsors. \nTables are available for $500 and seat up to eight guests. DESCRIPTION:The Russell Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a community chili supper to help support this year’s Fourth of July fireworks. The supper will be held Saturday\, February seventh\, from five-thirty to seven-thirty p.m.\, at the schoolhouse at West Elm and West Second Streets. The cost is ten dollars per person\, with children five and under eating free. All proceeds will go toward funding Russell’s annual Independence Day fireworks display.
