Shoplifting Incident Reported At Home Depot
According to case files, Justice reportedly took a Milwaukee light tower and Husky tool set without paying from Home Depot, claiming his friend Troy had covered the cost. Police determined Troy paid for his own items, but Justice did not, prompting a traffic stop and his detention.
During the investigation, Justice initially reportedly gave his brother Jack’s name to officers. Jack later reportedly clarified the deception, leading police to identify James Justice as the suspect.
Justice’s history of theft convictions, including a 2017 felony, upgraded the shoplifting charge to a Class D felony. He also faces a Class C misdemeanor for obstructing police by providing false information.
With four or more prior felonies, Justice qualifies as a habitual offender under Arkansas law. This could mean a longer prison sentence if convicted, per A.C.A. 5-4-501.
Please note: All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court of law.
