A dangerous fire was sparked by a burn pile in Arkansas, leading to several acres being burned.

On March 9th, 2025, Cave Springs and Springdale Fire Departments tackled a roughly 3-acre grass fire sparked by a burn pile. The blaze spread quickly but was met with a swift response. You can view photographs below.

Cave Springs Tender 522 and a brush unit joined Springdale’s BATT2, Brush 7, and E9 at the scene. Together, they contained the fire in short order.

Officials confirmed the fire was fully under control with no reported injuries or property damage. The cause remains linked to the initial burn pile.
