Gerald Lawrence Villneff, Jr., 42, was arrested on March 6, 2025, following a search warrant executed at his residence in, Oxford, Arkansas. He faces four counts of second-degree sexual assault and one count of grooming a child. You can view his photograph below provided by Izard County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigation Sparked by Child Abuse Hotline
According to case files, the Izard County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation on February 28, 2025, after a report from the Arkansas State Police Child Abuse Hotline. The report alleged Villneff sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl, referred to as Victim 1, on multiple occasions.
Victim 1 detailed five separate incidents to investigators, alleging Villneff attacked her at her grandmother’s home.
Witnesses, including Villneff’s wife Stacy, confirmed his frequent use of the site in question, and his possession of such a device as described by the victim.
Even more horrifying, an anonymous tip and items found during the search, like a modified “Catnap” sculpture with a hidden glass explicit object, reportedly further supported the allegations.
Multiple witnesses described Villneff’s fixation with explicit content, including the “Catnap” given to Victim 1.
One witness expressed concerns Villneff may have had inappropriate images of the victim.
Villneff was booked into jail at 2:25 p.m. on March 6, 2025, with a bond set at $100,000. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence.
