Police Got A Phone Call In Batesville Before Bomb Threat

, , Comments Off on Police Got A Phone Call In Batesville Before Bomb Threat

A Jonesboro man was arrested at the Batesville Police Department this week after he allegedly made threats against a Batesville officer and his home.

The Batesville Police Department said Zakary Lee Swanson, 26, had called the Batesville dispatch to tell them he was returning a stolen vehicle to the police department.

An officer met Swanson at the Batesville police station and, when Swanson exited the vehicle, he allegedly told the officer that he was going to kill another officer and blow up his house because of a previous arrest.

The officer placed Swanson under arrest. He has been charged with suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.

Editor's note: All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
