Arrest Made In Batesville After Allegedly Stolen Credit Card Was Thrown Out In Dumpster
Although Ethridge was arrested on February 3rd, 2025 according to Independence County Sheriff’s Office, the incident it involved happened months previously.
According to case files, on December 22, 2024, victim Kulch Lee McMahan reported unauthorized charges on his card, leading to a police investigation. Security footage from Home Depot identified Ethridge as the suspect.
The fraudulent transactions occurred over several dates, with purchases summing up to thousands of dollars. Ethridge allegedly used the card for buying items like tanks, consistent with his general contracting services.
Police traced Ethridge through his association with Ottis Bailey, who confirmed giving Ethridge a ride to the store for “Christmas shopping.” The vehicle involved was a black Chevy truck, noted in multiple incidents.
A search warrant executed on Celbank confirmed that duplicate cards were issued, one of which McMahan believed was discarded in a dumpster during his move. Ethridge is now held pending trial for these charges.
Please note: All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
