, , Comments Off on Police Say A New DNA Crime Is Happening In Arkansas

Scammers are targeting people on the sex offender register to claim they need to pay to have their DNA retaken.

This could potentially lead to regular citizens getting similar phone calls.

The Jacksonville Police Department has issued a scam alert warning residents that someone is using the sex offender registry to obtain information.

You Don’t Have To Pay To Get DNA “Retaken”

Scammers are calling individuals, claiming they must pay to have their DNA retaken, which is false.

If contacted regarding this scam, residents are advised not to take any action.

Instead, they should contact the local law enforcement agency they are registered with.

The police urge everyone to stay vigilant and report any suspicious calls to authorities.
