A man has been arrested in Conway, Arkansas for alleged forgery!
Thomas Jackson of Hot Springs, Arkansas, has been arrested by Conway Police Department, on a Class C felony, following an incident on July 28, 2023. He allegedly attempted to cash a fraudulent check at First Service Bank in Conway.

Thomas Jackson was booked on January 5, 2025, at 4:38 PM.
According to court documents, Jackson tried to cash a check from Shay Humphrey’s business account, which was significantly altered in both signature and size. The check was intended for Humphrey’s accountant but was intercepted and modified.
Bank teller Anabelle LaBakis noticed discrepancies in the check’s authenticity and confirmed the forgery after comparing the signatures. Jackson claimed he was given the check by an individual who promised to split the proceeds with him.
The investigation led by Detective Wesley Pence included surveillance footage and interviews, culminating in the issuance of a warrant for Jackson’s arrest. Jackson, identified as a habitual offender, faces potential additional sentencing due to prior felony convictions.
According to one of the officers on the case:
“The quality of the photos isn’t very good, but the physical characteristics of the individual in the photos is extremely similar to those of Thomas Jackson…”
