There was an explosion that happened in Heber Springs.

On January 13, 2025, at 3:35 PM, the Heber Springs Fire Department tackled an explosion at Saint Jean Industries. Smoke was visible from the roof of the manufacturing facility.

Firefighters Respond To “Explosion” In Heber Springs

Chief 201 and multiple fire units swiftly responded to the scene. Additional support was called from nearby fire departments and emergency services.

All employees were safely evacuated from the building. The explosion originated from a melt furnace, but the cause remains under investigation.

Several employees sustained injuries; most were treated and released at the scene. One was airlifted to a burn center in Little Rock for further treatment.

The incident is still under review to determine the explosion’s cause. No photo from today’s event is available.
