She was found guilty of grooming a minor as a teacher in Searcy, Arkansas in January of 2021.
After grooming a 17-year-old boy and being forced to register as an offender, she was let off with a slap on the wrist: probation.
Now, as of January 7th, authorities in Faulkner County have arrested Diane Cecelie Loy, 34, who now lives in Mayflower. Her alleged crime? She reportedly had drugs and didn’t register as an offender. Her mugshot has been released that you can view below.
Ex-Teacher Had Past In Searcy, Arkansas
Documents show that in 2020, while serving as a teacher for White County Central Schools, Loy assaulted a minor 17-year-old boy at a Walmart in Searcy, Arkansas.
She later pled guilty.
In text messages to the minor found in a search warrant, Loy told the victim after the incident:
“You clearly aren’t mature enough to handle this.”
She later pled for secrecy:
“This is my career.”
She was later convicted and placed on probation for 96 months.
Ex-Teacher Arrested Once Again
Fast forward this week, Loy was booked into custody on January 7, 2025, at 2:01 pm, under booking number 202500074.
She faces charges for failing to register as a sex offender on two counts.
Additionally, Loy was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. According to court documents, she’s accused of having meth.
Please note: She has not yet been convicted for allegations included in the new arrest. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
