He’s been arrested in connection with the theft of two generators in Batesville, Arkansas.
Franklin Taylor Bunch, a 26-year-old local, has been implicated in the theft of two generators. The theft occurred on November 27, 2024, from a maintenance garage behind the Arkansas Department of Health in Batesville. 26-Year-Old Arrested After 2 Generators Stolen In Batesville, Arkansas
According to documents provided by police, surveillance footage captured Bunch entering the garage with an accomplice, loading the generators into a black Chevrolet SUV. He was recognized by a county maintenance employee who knew him from his community service work.
Following the theft, Detective Zachary Bailey conducted an interview with Bunch after he was brought in by his community service supervisor. Bunch confessed to the theft during the interview but initially withheld the location of the generators.
Bunch managed to return one generator, but the second was located by Detective Bailey on December 16, 2024, outside a residence in Eaton, Arkansas. Both generators were returned in working condition to their owner, the Arkansas Department of Health.
Charges have been filed against Bunch for breaking or entering, a Class D felony, and theft of property, two counts of a Class A misdemeanor. His actions led to a loss valued at under $1,000 for the stolen generators.
Bunchwas arrested by the Independence County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas. His booking number is IDCO-7744-01-25, and he resides in Cord, Arkansas. He faces charges of Breaking or Entering and Theft of Property, classified as a Class A Misdemeanor, with a bond set at $10,000.
