A woman wrote a message to her children in eyeliner after she was reportedly beaten by a Batesville man.
Shawn Michael Higginbotham, 34, has been charged following a violent incident in Horseshoe Bend, according to Izard County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently held on a $500,000 bond. Local reporter Tony Mac has details you can listen to below.
Woman Reportedly Left A Message In Eyeliner
The victim reported that Higginbotham attacked her, pulling her from a bathtub by her hair and assaulting her repeatedly. She feared for her life, managing to leave a note for her children before passing out. She wrote the message in eyeliner.
Higginbotham allegedly sexually abused the victim several times, as stated in court documents.
The victim, in severe pain, was placed on a mattress and offered food she couldn’t consume due to her injuries.
Higginbotham faces multiple charges including kidnapping, rape, and domestic battering, according to court records.
