“Just a reminder, as of now, the burn ban for Independence Co. is still in effect. Authorities will assess the area after the next round of rain and make a decision to lift or continue the burn ban.”

As of October 31, 2024, the burn ban in Independence County was still in effect.

Nearby counties like Stone, Cleburne, White, and Lawrence counties were also under a burn ban.
