Beebe School District announced on social media that they placed Beebe Middle School on a “lockdown” due to a suspicious person being reported. Law enforcement was called.
Beebe School Placed On Lockdown
On Tuesday, the Beebe School District announced the concerning lockdown, writing:
“The Middle School was briefly placed in lockdown due to a report of a suspicious person near campus. McRae and Beebe Police responded quickly to investigate, and there are currently no findings to confirm the report. We appreciate their prompt response. The lockdown has been lifted, and school will continue normally for the rest of the day.”
They later thanked law enforcement for their quick response to the situation:
“Thank you to the Beebe School District Police Department, Beebe Police Department, McRae Police Department, and White County Sheriff’s Department for their very quick response. We appreciate the devotion and dedication to keep our staff and students safe.”
No findings were made regarding who the suspicious person was.
