Big Military Contract Awarded To Missile Manufacturer in Camden, Arkansas

The U.S. Army has granted the Javelin Joint Venture (JJV) a contract worth $1.3 billion for the fiscal year 2024, focusing on the production of Javelin missiles along with related equipment and services.

This is notably the largest single-year Javelin production contract to date. It is also reportedly part of an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) production contract that was initially awarded in May 2023.

The agreement also encompasses over 4,000 Javelin missiles aimed at restocking those supplied to Ukraine.

Andy Amaro is president of JJV and Javelin program director at Raytheon. He highlighted the Javelin as the world’s premier combat-proven anti-armor weapon.

He emphasized that the new contract will enable continued production and delivery of Javelins, supporting global ground forces in defending their sovereignty.
