Stone County Sheriff’s Office Makes Arrest in Luber Shooting Incident

The Stone County Sheriff’s Office has made significant strides in the investigation of a shooting that occurred on August 31, 2024, in the Luber area. Authorities have conducted search warrants at two locations, collected crucial evidence, and gathered statements, leading to the arrest of 60-year-old Steven Alan Gill from Luber.

Gill has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree. His arrest followed the discovery of discrepancies between the evidence and his statements during extensive overnight questioning.
