Greers Ferry Study Underway
It all started after the City Council voted to approve research into the possibility of a sewer system.
Although they have voted to research the idea, no taxpayer money will be spent. No vote about installing a system has been made either.
It’s just research.
The City Council released the following statement to clarify what’s going on with this study:
“We want to provide some clarity regarding the ongoing sewer study. This is simply a feasibility study to determine if a city sewer system is suitable for our community. It’s crucial to note that this study is being conducted at zero cost to the City. The City Council members have only voted to conduct this feasibility study. They will not vote on any implementation of the sewer system. Once the study is complete, it will be up to the citizens of Greers Ferry to decide whether or not the city will proceed with the sewer system through a community vote.”
Anyone with questions regarding this research is asked to contact the city of Greers Ferry directly.
