It’s set to be one of the most popular locations in Searcy, Arkansas.

It all started in 2022, when longtime Searcy resident and businessman Larry Crain agreed to donate a whopping $2 million to build a brand new Searcy Public Library. Crain has since passed away, but the vision has become a reality. The project reportedly cost over $8 million in total.

The new location is on 954 Skyline Drive, on Beebe Capps, in Searcy. It’s called the Janett & Larry Crain Memorial Library. The grand opening is happening soon!

We have stunning photos showing how big and beautiful the new building is. It has a coffee shop, a bookstore, conference rooms, and so much space for children and adults alike! You can view the photos below.

The Janett & Larry Crain Memorial Library will have its official ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening on September 18th:

The following locations are inside the library:

  • Coffee shop.
  • Conference rooms.
  • Passport office.
  • Gift shop.
  • Lounge area.
  • Computer rooms.

Honestly, the pictures themselves hardly do the massive project justice. There are two floors of rooms full of activity and fun.
