Lyon College in Batesville is celebrating a significant enrollment boost. The headcount for census day reached 666 students, marking a 13.5% increase from 587 students in fall 2023, and a 34.5% rise from 495 students in fall 2022. The college is welcoming 234 new first-time, full-time students, the second-largest freshman class in its 152-year history. Approximately 55% of the new students hail from various parts of Arkansas, with Batesville High School, Cave City High School, Southside High School, and Highland High School being the largest feeder schools.
