A heartbreaking accident has killed one driver and hospitalized another.

An early morning car crash “ejected” one driver from a car that burned in a fiery blaze. A second car was left in a tree line near the spot of the car crash. It has been confirmed by Arkansas State Police.

In a tragic early morning incident, 24-year-old Anthony Bryan Smith was driving north in the southbound lanes of Interstate 430 South when he collided with Clifford James Griffin’s Jeep. The impact was severe, ejecting Griffin from his vehicle which subsequently caught fire.

Griffin, aged 27, did not survive the crash. Emergency services were unable to revive him at the scene.

Smith, the driver of the BMW, was transported to Baptist Hospital for treatment following the accident.

The Arkansas State Police, with Sergeant Dakotah Bailey leading the investigation, released the incident report detailing the fatal crash.

The collision occurred just before 3 am in Little Rock, with authorities confirming that the next of kin have been notified.
