The City Council’s budget meeting planned for Thursday was cancelled in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas.
The news was confirmed by Lake Area Weekly.
The cancellation of the city budget meeting comes after the last city council meeting lasted a whopping 5 hours. Thankfully, it didn’t come as a surprise to anyone with knowledge of the situation.
It Was Planned Ahead Of Time
Despite rumors online, the meeting’s rescheduling was not a “surprise.”
Both the city council members and the mayor knew it was going to be cancelled as early as September 9th.
In fact, it was revealed at the last city council meeting that the meeting wouldn’t be able to take place due to multiple city officials being out of town.
