Another mysterious death in Arkansas imprisonment.

After what appear to be a wave of mysterious deaths in Arkansas under imprisonment this year, yet another prisoner has been found dead. This time, it reportedly happened in Lincoln County, Arkansas.

Prisoner Found “Unresponsive” In Lincoln County Jail

Charles Bailey, 48, was discovered unresponsive in his barracks at the Cummins Unit in Lincoln County on Friday morning. He was pronounced dead shortly after.

The Arkansas Board of Corrections is investigating the death. No additional details released at this time.

However, this event represents a tragic trend that has occurred this year.

Many Other Deaths In Arkansas Imprisonment Happened This Year

Previously, another prisoner was found dead in Lincoln County, Arkansas.

A prisoner at Varner Supermax Unit in Lincoln County was pronounced dead after he was found hanging in his jail cell. Officials called it a suicide. We reported on it.

Another prisoner was reportedly seen by jail staff at East Arkansas Regional Unit before being found dead by “suicide” later. That happened earlier this year.

All of this comes after Arkansas Department of Corrections decided to ramp up procedures earlier this year to prevent these tragic losses of life.
