Harding University will continue its American Studies Institute Distinguished Lecture Series with athlete Jeff Glasbrenner on Tuesday, September 17. The lecture, titled “A Bad Day, Hope and Opportunity,” will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Benson Auditorium, located at 201 S. Blakeney in Searcy, Ark. Glasbrenner, a three-time Paralympian and accomplished Ironman athlete, will discuss his experiences with overcoming adversity and faith. Notably, he is the first American amputee to summit Mt. Everest, reflecting his ability to find opportunity in challenges. Additionally, Glasbrenner is a two-time world champion and four-time national champion in wheelchair basketball. Students, community members, faculty, and staff are all invited to attend.
