Arkansas was hit by multiple tornadoes. The verdict is in by weather experts!
According to KSLA, multiple tornadoes touched down in southern Lafayette County in Arkansas. The event happened on evening hours of April 28th.
Multiple Tornadoes Hit Arkansas
At evening time on April 28th, at least 6 tornadoes touched down in northwestern Louisiana and southern in Arkansas.
The storm system produced winds ranging from 50 to 80 miles per hour.
Meteorologists say the system spawned four EF-1 and two EF-0 tornadoes. All tornadoes were small in terms of size, but some produced sizable damage.
The National Weather Service says Southwood High School was damaged and surrounding areas were hit as well.
